Polokwane
(Pietersburg) is the northern most venue for the 2010 World Cup. The
capital of Limpopo with excellent accommodation, fine weather and
friendly population |
makes it an
ideal place as a getaway destination. There are plenty of activities to
keep visitors busy including a crocodile farm, shopping centres, game
reserves and sanctuaries as well as various museums covering the history
of the region.
The current
stadium has just one main stand and 3 grass banks which will be upgraded
in preparation for the tournament. Eventually, the capacity will be
40,000. |
