    A lot of development and refurbishment is scheduled to take place to bring the stadia up to standard for the tournament. Despite concerns, all the stadia were completed on time and will be of great benefit to this football crazy nation long after the 2010 World Cup is over.

    The opening match and final will be both be played at Soccer City in Johannesburg and the stadium will have a capacity of 94,700.
