    The draw for this zone is quite complicated.

     

    Stage One

    The initial stage will see the 23 lowest ranked teams compete in a home and away play-off with St Vincent and the Grenadines receiving a bye to the next stage. The winners along with St Vincent and the Grenadines advance to the next stage to join the 12 top ranked teams.

     

    Stage Two

    These 24 teams will compete in a home and away play-off with the winners advancing to the next stage.

     

    Stage Three

    These 12 teams will be grouped into 3 groups of 4 teams. The group winners and runners-up will progress to the final stage.

     

    Stage Four

    These final 6 teams will compete in a single group. The top 3 teams will qualify for the finals and the 4th place team will face the 5th place team from the South American Zone in a play-off. The winners will qualify for the finals.
